Buy Nothing Day came and went, and the only thing I purchased was a Diet Coke from a vending machine.
I was at work, and there were definite "Christmas Crowds" at the mall, but I guess that after some soul searching, and some budget checking :-) I really could live a day without buying anything like I usually do. I live at Shopper's Drug mart, or the new HMV, so today was a challenge. On my breaks, I had to make a very conscious effort to just browse or window-shop and not actually make a purchase. It was tougher than I thought to think through the needs vs. wants arena that is retail shopping.
