Pat Robertson needs to be kept on a leash.

Last night while watching the good ol' CBC Newsworld, I heard Georgie say something about Pat Robertson, the crazy fucker that he is, telling his 700 Club followers that Ariel Sharon had this stroke, and is ill because he is trying to separate "God's Land". That's right, instead of seeing what Sharon has done as attempting to bring peace to the Palestinians and Israelis, he's saying that it's a bad thing to separate these people and give them what they want.

From Pat's website:
Robertson, an ordained minister and bible teacher, has been a life long supporter of Israel and has continually expressed grave concern over dividing the land of Israel. Robertson pointed to the book of Joel in the Old Testament to show a biblical perspective of God's view of Israel and efforts made from people who try to divide God's land:
"In the book of Joel, the prophet Joel makes it very clear that God has "enmity against those who divide My land." God considers this land to be His. When you read the Bible, He said this is my land. For any Prime Minister of Israel who decides he will carve it up and give it away, God said, "No, this is Mine." "

The middle east is owned by God apparently, and he has all this free time on his hands that he has nothing better to do than strike down his people who are trying to bring peace to the world. Yeah, that's the God they teach about in Sunday School. Right. Apparently, Mr. Robertson also calls himself Friends with Ariel Sharon. Yes, that is how you treat your "friends". Tell them that a terrible illness is actually God's wrath upon them.

I wonder how many times God looks down on us, and shakes his head because of people like Pat Robertson spreading hate and hard-feelings.
