What a night!

This post is dedicated to the Rowdy Boys and Girls from Regina who made last night so much fun, and to Travis who enjoyed it all too well!

We headed off to the Great Big Sea show at the Tea cup last night (TCU Place) and did it ever rock! What an awesome night! They did two separate sets. The first was songs that are from the new CD, The Hard and The Easy, the second set was older favorites. They even threw in some old school Canadian rock from Harlequin and the Brian Adams standard Summer of 69, saying that "900 million songs start with this chord"

After the show, we decided to check out Lydia's with a couple of friends. There was a neat jazz group playing. After about an hour we headed off to The Black Duck. This is where the Regina crew were introduced to us. They had been at the show earlier that night and were representing. Travis got talking with the bartender and decided to throw his copy of 'Hard and Easy' into the stereo. The pub was a-rocking!

Shortly after we arrived, the Guys from The Arrogant Worms showed up, and so did Alan Doyle from GBS! Travis was in heaven! Alan was kind enough to sign a few autographs... See above.

Travis actually sat and talked with both Alan and Tim from the Worms for a good long while, and he thoroughly ignored me, but in such a situation, this is acceptable behavior. I was told that the only way to top this Christmas gift is to have either band playing in our living room next December.

That's a challenge I'll take :-)
